“From 14th to 20th November I participated in the project ‘Gamestorming: gamification in youth information’ in Barcelona. There I got to know nothing less than 17 different organizations from different countries with whom we discovered very interesting partnerships. We exchanged ideas and skills for future projects, and the whole week we explored different types of games and how to invest knowledge in games.

On this project I was able to be involved not only as a participant, but also as a facilitator of a session. It was a very good opportunity to share my experience and knowledge in the field of gamification. In my session we talked about gamification and game-based learning, and we really dived in the topics of educational games and educational espace rooms!  We even tried to create our own little prototypes of escape rooms.

It was very cool to give knowledge and immediately watch how this turns into a process and even a good result. It was very nice to see the involvement of the participants in the process, and even during the week I was asked every day for more and more information about this.

During this week, I really met friends with whom we are constantly in touch and are already planning to visit each other. The project team was incredible, it was always very fun, warm and comfortable. We not only constantly shared our experience in the field of gamification, but also a lot about our cultures and personal information.

I would like to say special thanks to the organizers Carla and Marina for creating a super free and comfortable atmosphere in which it was super productive to create new ideas and learn. Furthermore, I realized how easy any game can be made educational, especially when we made Twister educational, and played it with the guys for an hour.

This project gave me the motivation and idea to create and write my own project and it was very useful for creating partnerships. It was an amazing week full of new knowledge, new cultures and interesting people! Thank you for this amazing opportunity!”
