Description

“Gamechangers 2.0” will be a training course aiming to equip educators and youth workers with practical knowledge of civic education and game-based learning tools to raise the level of young people’s active citizenship.

The main goals of the training activity are:

  • to foster common understanding of civic education, active citizenship and it’s role in youth work.
  • to exchange best practices of civic initiatives in the Baltic region.
  • to introduce educational games as a means of fostering active citizenship in young people.
  • to equip participants with tools of educational game design.
  • to provide space for developing educational games on the topic of active citizenship.
  • to test the developed game concepts with young people.

Participant’s profile

The training course is designed for youth workers, youth leaders, educators, trainers and/or teachers.

Participants should be interested in game-based learning, have basic experience with non-formal education or experiential learning and the attitude to transfer and incorporate the learning in their practice in the youth work field.

Additionally, participants should be at least 18 years old, have at least medium level of English, and be willing and committed to actively participate in ALL sessions of the programme. Besides, participants should commit to keep to the deadlines and carry out the preparatory tasks asked for by the organizers.
