Digital youth work, work with social media, development of online work of organizations, e-promotion are becoming areas that require youth workers and youth leaders to become competent in. Digitalization already affected teaching, training and delivery of educational activities in the all of the fields (MOOCs, webinars, peer-2-peer online learning, learning worlds). The change also affected the way youth organization operate, attract young people with their services or even promote themselves. In order to stay visible and up-to-date, it is necessary to ensure that media and digital tools are skillfully used in day-to-day management of youth organizations.

The objectives established to logically reach the aim of the project are:
-to discuss the current use of digital tools by organizations and analyze their potential to grow;
-to develop competences of participants to become effective and versatile users of available digital tools;
-raising awareness of how digital tools and new media can aid youth work and help to create greater impact of present-day youth activities;
-to create space for effective transfer of know-how in regard to media literacy and digitalization across Europe;
-to exchange tools, methods, idea, etc. in the use of modern technologies across youth work in Europe;
-to foster European cooperation in the youth field and support the development of new innovative
solutions for new generations of digitalized youth organizations;
-to promote most relevant digital tools amongst various youth organizations in order to contribute to development of sustainable and effective partnerships across borders.

Participant’s profile:

Participants of this training course will be 18+ youth leaders or youth workers. Ideally chosen
participants should be involved in youth work or education of young people in their daily work. Minimum they should be active members of their NGOs, who have the potential (according to partner expertise) to support young people with the topic of online media and digital tools. No specific previous experience with online media and digital tools as a topic is required. However, they should have the interest and needs to be given tools, experience and support so that they can further disseminate the results and support young people in educating them on the topic of online media and digital tools.

Participants have to be official residents in the country partnering in the project, be above 18 years of age, have a good command of English language, be ready to participate in the full program and commit to the dissemination activities. Besides, participants should keep to the deadlines and carry out the preparatory tasks asked for by the organizers.
