On 7th and 8th of March 2020, the Shokkin Family spent the first spring weekend together in Oxforelli puhkekeskus learning about creative thinking and problems solving.
19 youngsters from Tallinn successfully travelled with us to the magic world of a creative ideas production by participating in the workshops about brainstorming and idea analysis techniques. Participants tried all the methods in order to find the one that suits them best and take it together with them and use after the weekend in their personal lives.
During the 2 days, participants worked in groups and were trying to find the problems surrounding them and suggest the best solution to solve those. A lot of fascinating ideas and solutions were produced during those days thanks to our wonderfully active and creative participants. After analyzing all the ideas with various techniques as SMART and PMI, participants presented their best solution to the others. By the end of the weekend, there were 4 groups of youngsters doing great presentations about their work.
P.S.It would not be a Shokkin weekend without board games and sauna, so we enjoyed them too!
“Get Involved” was implemented by youth to youth with the help of Tallinna Spordi- ja Noorsooamet. Thanks to everyone for participating and see you soon in the next adventure! FInd below the experience from some of the participants:
«I always try to join every Shokkin event and in March I participated in Shokkin “Get Involved” camp. I liked the theme of the camp and the interesting people. I’ve learned different ways of brainstorming and just had a good time. I had a really good time and I discovered a lot about myself and developing projects :)»

Balanced flexible schedule with lots of activities and enough breaks is perfect after а long week. We’ve got to know more about problem-solving and brainstorming. Not only had we the opportunity to learn something , but also to hang out with gorgeous people. We laughed, discussed a bit and played plenty of games. After this weekend I started appreciating board games more. Finally, the icing on the cake was the sauna! That was hot, nothing else to say. I’m really grateful to be part of this project and looking forward to participating in future ones.»

« I quite liked this project, though it wasn’t as action-packed as some other projects I had a chance to be a part of. It was chill and at the same time, it gave me a chance to brainstorm some ideas as well. The project definitely made me more conscious of all the different problem-solving methods that are there in the world. It could definitely come handy in the future to see problems from absolutely different and new angles to achieve the best solution. The hosts were great and it was really nice to meet new people and chat with them. »
Christopher Pärtel,
«This project was my first ever experience with Shokkin Group. At first I was a bit nervous, as I decided to go there on my own and I barely knew a few people there. To my surprise, after some team building games, I learned almost every name of other participants by heart. During the whole project, I got to know various interesting people and gained valuable experience in brainstorming. Despite the fact that the project was really short, I enjoyed every moment of it. Now I’m sure that I’ll visit other Shokkin projects as well. 10/10 -101% recommend!»
