The first seminar of the “Young Business” project took place in Riga (Latvia) from 4-8 February 2026, bringing together motivated young participants from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Each country was represented by five participants and one group leader, creating a dynamic international group eager to explore entrepreneurship and develop their own business ideas.

During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to present their initial business ideas and receive feedback, helping them refine and strengthen their concepts. Through collaborative workshops, they also learned how to structure their ideas using the Business Model Canvas, a tool that helped them better understand key aspects of a business such as identifying target groups, defining value propositions, and planning sustainable business models.

One of the highlights of the seminar was the visit of a guest entrepreneur and angel investor, who shared valuable insights from his own entrepreneurial journey. Participants had the chance to ask questions, learn about the realities of starting a business, and gain inspiration from real-life experiences in the startup world.

The group also visited a Startup House, where they were introduced to the local startup ecosystem and learned how innovative ideas are supported and developed in practice. This visit provided a practical perspective on how entrepreneurial projects grow from ideas into real ventures.

Following this first seminar, participants will continue refining and developing their business ideas. In the coming months, they will work on turning their concepts into reality. The next stage of the project will take place in Estonia, where participants will take part in a seminar focused on marketing and promoting their business ideas, bringing them one step closer to launching their own initiatives.

The Riga seminar marked an inspiring start to the Young Business journey, encouraging young people to transform their creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit into real opportunities.
