• COworking and COoperation:

Youth workers and youth leaders from 8 countries, from 9 organizations met last February for the Contact Making event “Shokkin Therapy” with the aim of building a worldwide network of active, motivated and creative young people, who are ready to create a better world for youth. This brought the opportunity to celebrate a historical moment: the gathering of representatives of organizations which form the Shokkin Group International network.

During this week we worked on long term goals, we had an open space for sharing different methods (story telling, Social Media management, graphic facilitation…), we brainstormed about local and international activities, hunted a black cat during Danish cultural night, danced, survived in the forest with only 15 items (only 3 of us survived), and we even started to create our own Wikipedia page.  So many things to be achieved when you cooperate with people.

  • COuntry-side.

Calm and beautiful Scandinavian seaside place called Rødvig. Cozy cabins, where we lived as small families, making breakfast for ourselves in the mornings and talking very important topics during the coffee brekas, also making cabin challenges and meeting sunsets in the evenings. It was exactly what was needed for productive work during the day.

  • COmmunicaton

With like-minded people it’s very easy to communicate. Through games, exercises, sometimes dances and sometimes without any words, just feeling the vibe and starting to create together.

  • COnnection

Last year we met in Estonia and started to dream about a big network of organizations where we are all together for youth and with youth. This year we didn’t lost the connection. In Denmark we shared our experiences, what was done during this year, and inspired each other for new challenges. It’s very important to feel that you are not the only one with your ideas, and there are people next to you, who are ready to make it work. Plans are sited, and participants are ready to fulfill it.
