About
Shokkin Group is a youth organization composed of young people 16-30 years of age based in or connected to Estonia. The organization was founded in October 2011 in Tallinn, with the main aim of empowering young people of Estonia to live a pro-active lifestyle by providing them with opportunities to develop competencies for personal, professional and social growth.
The organization’s motto is imagine, inspire, act! And it describes the whole idea of Shokkin Group in the best possible way. In the organization we hope that modern youth will imagine, be inspired and inspire others to act for a stronger society!
Team
Shokkin Group is run by a managing core represented by a team, which we call “Shokkin Pro”.

Pavel Vassiljev
Pavel graduated university abroad and then returned to Estonia, where he became one of the founders of Shokkin Group with the goal to create space for innovative ideas in the youth field. Seeing ideas of young people become a reality is what drives his passion, so now, many years later, Pavel supports Shokkin Group by being in charge of long-term projects and overall organizational development (and cleaning the office!).

Since then, she followed the typical participation cycle taking up roles little by little. Currently, Olalla is in charge of external communication, member management and coordinates long-term local and international projects with Shokkin Group.

Recognition
In 2020 we received the award of “Tallinn’s Youth Organization of the year”. In a year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic and barely physical meetings, Shokkin team found space to be creative and discover new approaches, which led to the implementation of different small-scale local activities led by youth and for youth.
One of our first projects: “Graffiti Festival” received the Väike tegu award from Tallinn Youth & Sports Department back in 2013. More recently, our youth event “InJam Estonia” was awarded as the best activity for young people in Tallinn in 2023 in the city’s youth work recognition competition “Suured Teod”.
