The second part of the chain of two projects “Tell a different story” took place in Grøndalen, Norway. Project brings together 30 youngsters from Norway, Georgia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia and Azerbaijan.

Since the first part was more about learning what active citizenship is and how can participants use photography as a tool, the home task was to take pictures telling a different story about the problems participants had back to their countries. During the second part of the project youngsters have organised the exhibition of their pictures at Cafe Rialto in Trysil. Local people were happy to take a look at the exhibition made by people from Europe and Asia.

Printing pictures and putting them out were not the only things we have done. One day the whole group went to the local high school to share the knowledge with students and give them some inspiration for the future. The last days we spent working on a booklet with some tips for organising the photo exhibition from the beginning, as we did.

It was a good experience for all young people. A lot of participants said they have achieved their goals that they have chosen before the project.

All in all, we all now have more inspiration to be active citizens, know how to use photography as a tool and know good people from Europe who also want to tell a different story.
