What: Shokkin Kamp is a local project organized every year by Shokkin Group Estonia, aimed at Russian-speaking local youth from Tallinn. In this edition, Shokkin Kamp was dedicated to teamwork, team roles and what pros and cons this method of work has.
When: 16-18 of November 2018
Where: The project took place in a cozy venue not far away from Tallinn: Peetri school.
Who: The organizing team were our members Ksenija, Julia and Artjom, who came together and started working on the schedule of the kamp during “Leaders Factory”, a local training on leadership organized by Shokkin Group in the beginning of November. The team of organizers was working together to create their first project. For each of us it was the first experience and it was so amazing that we are now working on upcoming Shokkin Kamp 10!
Who for: Everybody from 16 to 30 years old.
How: We had small lectures about team’s structure, roles, negative and positive sides. Afterwards the lectures to consolidate the knowledge by playing games, connected to that topic. We also did Belbin test about team roles. The participants were super motivated and active, and they told us after the project, that they started to use diaries, as it seemed useful.
What for: Event like this are important, because it helps participants find and develop their innate skills and be more competitive in every area of life. By knowing their team role, individuals have a greater self-understanding of their strengths, which leads to more effective communication between team members. This kind of projects also helps find more friends and contacts, what is very useful all the time.
