I close my eyes and think about these amazing seven days at the beautiful Alpine lake, in a small Austrian town called Velden am Wörthersee. Beautiful nature, fantastic mountain views, warm sunny weather and the awesome team of trainers helped to create an incomparable atmosphere of this project.
We played games prepared by our wonderful teachers all day long. We were wandering in the “Maze”, tried to find the best solution for both teams in the “Prisoner’s Dilemma” and bravely fought for the honor of our General in the “The Journey of a Samurai”.
Even studying general objectives and activities covered by Erasmus Plus was turned into a fascinating game in which each participant discovered something new about this program.
Games began early in the morning and lasted until late at night. We played everywhere: in the classroom, near the lake, on the playground in front of the hotel.
And then it was our time to come up with our own games and twenty-four participants from nine countries (Austria, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the UK) were divided into four teams to challenge themselves in creating something completely new.
The first team has set the task to create a game that would help to develop the creative potential of its participants, to move them out from their comfort zone, forcing them to act in unfamiliar situation. This is how the game called “Are You Creative?” was born.
The second team has dedicated their game to solving problems related with personal identity and life in a multicultural society. They called it “Apartment to Leave”.
The third team came up with the game “The Great Fire of Bubbledon», where three families of Poppins, Bubblowski and Bubblinho had to cooperate together to beat a horrible dragon threatening their village.
The game of the last team took place on a fictional desert island, where the players found themselves after shipwreck. Will these hungry and exhausted people create an effective team and overcome all obstacles?
As all the games were played and all comments and reviews were received, it was time to say goodbye to teammates, to our great trainers and support team, to the charming small town Velden and to people who welcomed us warmly in Austria.
Bye! Hope to see you again!
