From 11th to 19th of May, Shokkin Estonian team went on an amazing project “Play the Past – Make it Present”, which was held in super hospitable Yerevan, Armenia. Together with participants from Georgia, Spain, Belarus, Armenia and The Netherlands we shared our yard games, the ones we’ve played in our childhoods. After sharing them with each other, we went to several local schools to share our outdoor activities with kids, so they could forget about their gadgets for a day and learn how to have fun old school style. After several days of teaching and playing with them, we’ve had a big competition in yard games between three schools. This was a huge success and lots of fun as for us and as for kids. Working with them was challenging sometimes, but also a true pleasure. Now kids are stalking all of us on facebook, so we would come and play with them again next year. Which motivates us to plan another youth exchange 🙂

This project brought us not only meeting with old friends, from other projects, but meeting new, great ones. Sharing our cultures and not focusing on our differences, but on our similarities, thus this is the true beauty of youth exchanges.
