In “The Truth Seekers”, players take the role of social media influencers who have been hired by a media company to promote “Sancus”, a new video streaming service for young people. However, before their work starts, they receive an email from someone who claims that the company is not honest about their business… During 45 minutes, teams will analyze different types of media and try to reveal the secrets behind the new platform.
We are happy to share with you our new educational escape box “The Truth Seekers”, aimed at young people aged 15-19 years old to work on the topic of media literacy.
Learning Outcomes:
- Notice types of manipulation techniques in mass and social media;
- Understand cognitive biases and their influence on our information perception and decision-making;
- Practice verifying information in order to make a more sound judgment.
With the support of the German Embassy in Estonia, we are offering educational workshops to schools and youth centers around Estonia until December 2023:
- Duration: 1 game session=45 min. Minimum 1 game session – maximum 4 game sessions per day.
- Number of players per game session: teams of 3-15 players per game
- Language: English, Estonia, Russian
