Media and Communication volunteer
Description
We are looking for a volunteer interested in media and communications. A perfect volunteer is someone who is able to speak and write in English well and has the skills to work with digital media tools and applications. Someone who is able to create media content, generate ideas and develop it further based on team feedback.
Tasks
- Assisting with the planning and execution of social media campaigns for promotion of youth work activities.
- Support participant recruitment and preparation in the organization.
- Record and edit short videos, game trailers, and educational sessions.
- Design visuals and support media-related collaborations with international partners.
- Conduct surveys and interviews with young people to map their interests and needs.
- Promote EU programs and Shokkin Group in high schools, VET institutions and universities of
Tallinn.
Game-Based Learning and Game Design volunteer
Description
We are looking for a volunteer who is passionate about games and learning. Someone with a hobby of tabletops, LARPing and/or passion for escape games and puzzles who is ready to put creativity into designing new educational game prototypes, test game design frameworks and try them out with young people. We are looking for a volunteer who is ready to work both in a team during design sessions and independently based on task lists.
Tasks
- Facilitate educational games for youth.
- Run game demos for educators.
- Prototype new edugame concepts (tabletop, escape, LARPs).
- Organize game evenings and events in the youth center.
- Prepare promotional materials for games.
In both projects
- Working hours: 30-35 hours per week in the office and partner organizations.
- Language support: 2 hours of non-formal learning language support will be provided in the first months of the service.
- Other information: Opportunity to join other youth work events in Tallinn in cooperation with youth centers that are part of our collaboration networks and delivering activities in schools we work with.
