Description
“MARKERS” will be an international Erasmus+ training course organized by Shokkin Group Estonia. The main activity of the project will take place in Estonia during the period 29th January-7th February 2020, including participants from Estonia, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Romania, Malta, Slovakia, Sweden and Poland.
The objectives of the project are:
- To introduce visual facilitation tools to youth workers/educators as a way of engaging young people;
- To equip participants with a set of practical tools for visualization and visual facilitation of educational sessions and developing effective visual materials;
- To practice visual facilitation techniques and visual thinking for idea generation for/with young people;
- To empower participants to use visual tools when working with young people and developing activities together with them;
- To promote visual facilitation as an inclusive tool enabling youth workers to engage young people with fewer opportunities in idea development processes;
- To develop two physical resources for youth workers: a guided doodle diary and a deck of physical visual vocabulary on cards, printable and shared online.
Participant’s profile
The training course is designed for youth workers, youth leaders, educators, trainers and/or teachers. Participants should be involved in the youth work or the education field and must have interest to gain skills/knowledge in visual facilitation as well as the attitude to transfer the learning in the organization and incorporate it in his/her work.
Ideally the profile of young people that he/she works with are minors or youth at risk (young people from low-income families/ dysfunctional families, young migrants/ minority representatives/ refugees, school drop-outs). Participants need to be official residents of the country they are coming from, be over 18 years of age and have at least an intermediate level of English. Participants are expected to participate fully in the program and commit to the dissemination activities.
