We believe in finding innovative ways to tackle everyday problems. We pay attention to them in our work and we would like others to see them as well. We want to send a message and need you to help us with it. And apart from that, learn and grow with us.
This year, we again proudly present the opportunity to join the team of Message Wear, a project which aims to do exactly that. So what is it, why should you care and why we need you?
Message Wear is a long term project we are implementing in Estonia for already second time. By working with young people, we give them space to learn and to be more perceptive of their surroundings and communities. We aim to give them voice so they can express the problems they see around visually. Through series of workshops, masterclasses and meetings we create a series of clothes that are convening this message to wider public. Crazy idea? Then see some of the designs we created already last year!
At this moment, we are looking for a few people to join the organizing team. What do we expect from you?
- English on communicative level.
- Interest in the topic of active citizenship, design or anything you find relevant for the project.
- Bit of your time. We will be holding meetings at least once a month. And we will have a big international meeting with our colleagues from the Netherlands, who are working on the project with us, on 15th-18th February in Tallinn. It would be awesome if you could participate.
- Previous participation on any international or local project with Shokkin Estonia or experience with non-formal education is great, but not necessary 🙂
And what can you get out of it? Most probably an awesome learning experience in the fields of facilitation, design, branding, entrepreneurship, youth work, project management or whatever you choose for yourself. Let’s try our best to make this thing amazing. Let’s have an impact.
If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to send a short e-mail with couple of sentences about yourself to Filip at filip.gabor@gmail.com, best before 21st of January.
