Arts and handcrafts through collaboration, creativity and filming

For the first Shokkin Kamp this year, we gathered in Kloogaranna Puhkeküla, surrounded by the forest and the sea, for an immersive two-day experience. This time, the main focus was on creative expression, with the goal of creating a stop-motion film as a final outcome.

Shokkin Kamp is a youth event where young people come together in a non-formal learning environment, with the aim of exploring a specific topic through interactive sessions, strengthening group connections, and socialising.

After all participants had arrived and settled in, we began with icebreakers and name games to build a comfortable and open group atmosphere.

In the first sessions, participants experimented with different materials such as plasticine, LEGO®, paper, and markers, allowing them to explore various creative approaches and choose their visual style. They then developed their storyboards and started working on their stop-motion films, combining ideas, creativity, and teamwork.

The day concluded with reflection, followed by dinner and a team-building activity focused on cooperation, creativity, and personal development. We ended the evening with a walk to the beach, enjoying the natural surroundings.

The second day started with an energiser, where participants completed creative and engaging tasks, including filming short videos and performing small acts of kindness. This helped boost energy and strengthen group dynamics. Participants then continued working on their films, refining their ideas and bringing their projects to completion.

The highlight of the camp was the Shokkin Film Festival, where each group presented their final work. Every team was recognised for their creativity, effort, and unique approach.

After the final evaluation, it was time to say our goodbyes and head back home. Thanks to all participants for your creativity, openness, and contribution to making this Kamp a meaningful experience.
