“In January I packed my bag and boarded a flight to Portugal, Lisbon, in order to attend the Erasmus+ training course “From Protection to Promotion”. I arrived a few days earlier to explore the city on my own and it was a really good idea, as there was no time for this later on. Our training course started intensively and seemed like everyone was interested and participating actively. The course turned out to be way more interesting than I expected, to be honest. It felt like there was not enough time in a day to discuss and learn about everything the participants wanted. Not to mention the lack of sleep which was lost to socializing with all the interesting people on the course. As the time went on, people got to know each other and started opening up, making everything even better (with a lot of random singing and lots of laughter). I am super happy that I applied and had a chance to attend this course. I feel like I got relevant and important information that I plan to use in my life or at least invest my own time to learn more about certain topics to improve myself further.”

“From P to P” was one of the “most honest” training courses I ever participated in. Participants were straight and aware of nowadays media. It is with this kind of people that you can really discuss such a deep and huge topic as the Media as it is. There are three main rules I learned from this training:
- Double check! Always!
- If you post something on your social media page, then double check before! Again!
- Be critical about every media source, then double check! You should be aware of what you are sharing.
It is especially important for youth workers to know these rules, because we are sharing information among young people that can be an example for them. This project was full of important information about Media literacy and critical thinking, and with all this information you cannot just stay at one place and keep it only for yourself. In the middle of the project we went to the streets and made a social experiment with interviews, flash mobs and videos. Success!
Also very important was the place where all this happened. Oh, my warm Portugal with its warm people! It was beautiful beginning of the year. Thanks a lot for super hospitable organization Windmill and for competent trainers Lukaš, Odnra and Vicky. And double check!”

“For me it was the first training course in life, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Usually, youth exchanges are more dedicated to meeting new people and to cultural exchange, but this time, beside all this things, the project it was also a great opportunity to get new knowledge. The best thing is that I am actually using the tips we got it in my daily life. For example, double-checking is already my habit. Now I am looking forward to using and sharing this experience with others.”
