“A few weeks ago I was in Horní Maršov, in the Czech Republic, where I participated in the Erasmus+ training course “Eduboards 2.0”. During the course, our trainers taught us about game development, what makes an educational game educational, and where to start when you want to make your own game, and much more.

This week was full of educational, informative and interesting sessions together with team-building games and local exploration, and during the second part of the training we got to develop our own educational games! This experience was unforgettable and I’m thankful for the knowledge I gained.”

“In this project I learned what an educational board game is, what elements it consists of, and what mechanics are used in different games. The way the project was organised was incredible, we had time for everything: for different ice breaking games, for working during sessions, for energizers and coffee breaks.

The visual part of this project was also incredible, with every day new posters about the previous days to remind us what we had learned. We even had a small course about how to use software like Canva, which in the future I think I will definitely use more for my everyday life, for university and for work.

I would also like to mention the food and the place where we stayed. The food was delicious, and I am glad that I had a chance to try national and everyday Czech food. Besides, on the free day we even got the chance to take a trip to the biggest mountain in the Czech Republic.”

“I have been on many different training courses in multiple countries, but this has been the best project I have ever participated in. For me everything was perfect, starting from the location, a small Czech town near the mountains, quiet and tranquil, but still active and mysterious enough to explore.

We all love new and beautiful places, but I also have to mention the facilitators and the trainers for their professionalism, punctuality and good spirits. This team worked like a well-oiled machine and if there was a problem, it was quickly dealt with.

On the educational level, I learned so much from this project. I was expecting something basic, but the quality of the training course was on another level. I would have never expected something so engaging and exirilating.

And of course, I can’t leave out the participants, because we had a great training course but everyone in the group made it an amazing experience. I will remember the time spent together and the experience gained for a long time and also we now have new friends in six different countries.

This summer I went on an Erasmus+ project that took place in the Czech Republic. The essence of the project was to create an educational board game which can be played in the future together with young people. On the one hand, the programme itself was seven working days, but at the same time it flew by in moments.

There were many interesting materials to work on. It was also very nice that the sessions included analyzing different games and interesting moments of rest. I was surrounded by pleasant people from all over the world. It was nice to get to know them better, to compare the different values of their countries and their foundations.

In general, the project had a peaceful and working atmosphere. I always wanted to create and produce something new. It was an incredible new experience for me: to plunge into an atmosphere where all people are different, but all have one goal. I will always remember the experience and in the future I will definitely use it.
