Breakout Box: SE edition” has been one of the most invigorating experiences of all. From idea generation to prototype testing among real youngsters in one week, it has been intensive but fruitful. Discussions went beyond such methods of educational practice and further into escape games and their effect on students and humans overall.

“We look forward to applying the concepts we’ve learned in teaching and youth work. As an ESL teacher, I personally plan to experiment with escape boxes to make lessons more dynamic, particularly for introducing new topics in an interactive way. This approach will encourage problem-solving, collaboration, and deeper engagement with the material.

Additionally, we are going to further develop the educational game we created in the Czech Republic in collaboration with participants from different European countries. The game focuses on developing entrepreneurial awareness by immersing players in real-world consulting scenarios. We want to continue refining and testing it to ultimately implement it in youth work and make it widely accessible as a practical learning tool.”

“For me the main points of this training were: learning about the concept of escape boxes, practicing creating and testing escape boxes and continuing the impact with new methods.

“You are on the player’s side”

This training was intellectually stimulating, because we had to tackle for the first time a new methodology and the topic of social entrepreneurship at the same time. Some interesting insights were the different types of puzzles and how through solving a puzzle you can teach a concept.

Trainers gave us ideas, but also freedom to create what we wanted and learn from our own mistakes. The group was immensely supporitve in wanting to try our escape box game.”

Breakout Box: SE edition was a project coordinated by Cefig International, co-funded by the European Union and implemented with the support of the Czech National Agency”.
