Georgia. Country of the great landscapes, solid traditions and truly unique people.
From 4th till 12th of May group of 6 members (Anton, Timofei, Daniil, Jana, Sofia and Valeria) from Estonia was participating in a second part of chain project Entrerural in Udabno, Kakheti region. Deserted area on 750 meters high from the sea level and 800 people of population. Little we knew how wonderful the place was in real life and how many new things we will be discovering there!
While our first youth exchange in Denmark was considering example of entrepreneurship in rural areas, this time our task was to not only learn given info, but also create outcome on our own. Main activities were concentrated on preparation for festival of skills in Udabno village that was aimed to support community there. It took place on 10th of May and was fully organized by participant with a help of inspired people from and outside of the village. Four Countries, twenty-four participants with different backgrounds and visions working hand by hand together. Incredible feeling of helping each other made our way to the main goal much easier!
Enthusiasm and motivation of the group was on a high level. Everybody believed in things that he was doing were right. Assembling benches, creation of beautiful decorations, preparation of workshops… Hundreds of small procedures to be joined together and give a birth to fascinating event! Learning by doing is not just a fancy word in this case!
Feedback from one of the participants:
‘’This projects was just awesome. It was my first youth exchange, before I had participated only in Training courses, but the first one was successful for me. Place, people, food, activities – I enjoyed everything, every moment, every minute. The thing, what we did, I thinks it’s much more, than just project, the thing, what we did together!’’
Many thanks to all of the participants, coordinators and special Thank You to Ucha and Lela for providing such nice support in activities!
Looking forward to make new step in Armenia (Part 3)! Madlobt Georgia!
