24.01-01.02 Hea Hombre together with Shokkin Group organized a training course named “Don’t Wait – Facilitate!” about coaching and facilitation. The training course brought together participants from 10 different countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, Italy and Austria. Youth workers from different fields and with different experiences became one magic team who created their own pedagogical interventions and learnt from one another.

What did one of our participants say:

“Looking back on this project with cold mind it is hard to believe that so many things could happen during one week. I didn’t have much expectations about the course. I was more curios what can I learn about facilitation. It appeared that the learning process doesn’t stop after the session. Intercultural communication was one of the most interesting experiences in my life. It is essential to look how the peers in different countries face the same issues and compare our views on life. This is something such valuable that just cannot be measured. One of the values of that project is connections for future cooperation.

The learning content was also very interesting and given to participants through different nonformal learning methods. It helped a lot to perceive the information. Some of methods were new for me and some were modifications of those that I already knew but I will definitely implement them in my future facilitating practice.

General organization of the project was perfect. Accommodation, food, cultural program, the group itself, everything.

Those who are still thinking to take part in activities that are organized by Shokkin Group/Hea Hombre or not, you are wasting time. JUST GO FOR IT! =)”
