After several months of research and work on the production of the first project result “IO1: Breakout Box Manual” it was time for the team behind the project to meet again from 13th to 17th of March 2022, catch up on the process and set a new pathway for the continuation of the adventure.
During most sessions of the meeting we split in two groups: Group 1 was in charge of further work on IO2 – Breakout Box concepts while Group 2 was in charge of planning the visual materials and design of learning support materials (namely playful notebooks and stickers).
The topics of focus for the breakout box concepts had been divided in the kickoff meeting as follows:
* Be International: digital security, political participation gender inequality and identities.
* Shokkin Group: mental health, critical thinking, financial literacy and bullying.
Further development was done on concepts for political participation game, mental health game and bullying game. Work on political participation and mental health game was finalized, and further work on financial literacy, media and digital security commenced.
Debriefing cards for the games have been discussed and their content was created, focusing on two main types of debriefing – topics related debriefing which is dedicated to further exploration of the themes of the games and personal development/teamwork debriefing, focused more on soft competence development part of the gameplay.
Group 2 worked on prototypes of playful notebooks and stickers and by the second day of the meeting, the first visuals had been printed and tested. The potential suppliers in charge of printing the materials were contacted and the budget was revised.
The last part of the meeting was dedicated to action plan development, setting deadlines and next benchmarks of the project. The training course happening in July was discussed, preliminary agenda and application form was created, and the meeting was finalized by administrative aspects as well as with wishes for the partnership.
